Headteacher Friday Update 11th March 2022

Date: 11th Mar 2022 @ 3:40pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

Once again it’s been another strange week with high absence rates amongst children and staff.  We have still got children at home with covid and sickness bugs, so please remain vigilant.  I’m beginning to feel like a stuck record writing these blogs on a Friday but covid is still very much in the community and we need to act with caution to protect everyone.  Thank you for your continuing support in keeping your children at home when positive or ill.

On an ‘up’ note, our gymnasts once again did us proud at the competition.  They came third, so well done all on your achievement.

Class 3 have had a visit from Mrs Croskery from Dalton St. Mary’s School, who are working with us as part of the EdTech Demonstrator programme.  She introduced Class 3 to Teams and trained both Mr Dunstan and the children in this new tool which they will most likely encounter at secondary school.  It was a great session with lots of new ideas for developing learning.

It’s great to see some brighter and milder weather and the children have been out in the fresh air as much as possible this week.  Fingers crossed it continues into the weekend for us all!

With best wishes,

Mrs Battersby
