Headteacher Friday Update 26th March 2021

Date: 26th Mar 2021 @ 9:20am

As we approach Easter, I do hope you have all seen the notification in Seesaw regarding next Wednesday’s Easter egg decorating contest. We would like children to create an egg scene which incorporates at least 1 hard-boiled egg.

Theme: own choice.

Rules:

- It must be designed and planned at home but constructed in school (children will have up to 1 hour to make)

- At least 1 egg, no more than 6 eggs in the design (eggs must be hard-boiled).

- Children need to provide their own egg(s), display box/tin and any special resources they need.

The egg scenes will be judged at lunchtime on Wednesday and, weather permitting, will be displayed in the playground from 2:30pm for parents to view at their leisure in a socially distanced manner. They must be taken home from the playground at the end of the day.

As an additional protective measure, please could I ask parents to wear face coverings if attending to look at the eggs.

It is unfortunate that we will be unable to hold our usual Easter celebrations and particularly disappointing not to be able to visit The Priory Church, however, we are sharing the Easter story with all children in school and enjoying connected activities together.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Mrs Battersby
