Sunflower surprise.

Date: 3rd Nov 2019 @ 7:49am

It was a real pleasure last Friday to attend the celebration assembly and see so many proud smiling faces receiving a small envelope containing grateful thanks for looking after, nurturing and encouraging the growth of their sunflowers. The Cartmel in Bloom representatives presented the certificates to the children, commenting on the lovely growth diaries the children had done as part of the competition. All were worthy winners for their patience and resilience in planting, watering and general horticultural interest in the project.

Thanks also to the parents who came along to share the children's achievements not just with the sunflower competition but other successes over the week. The team point results are always awaited with anticipation showing their importance to the whole school community. The individual awards for differing personal achievements over the week are received with such pride and encourage all to do their best, be resilient and develop in independence in their learning journeys.

The governors are very proud of all your hard work and thank the school staff for inspiring children to learn in such varied, creative, fun ways, always looking for opportunities to enrich the curriculum and hence the education for all the children.

Well done to everyone.

Mrs Milner. Chair of Governors.
