Anti-Bullying Week

Date: 20th Nov 2022 @ 3:32pm

Thank you for coming along in your odd socks to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week. This years theme is 'Reach Out'.
On Monday we wore our odd socks in celebration of what makes us unique.

The theme 'Reach Out' came about following a consultation with teachers and pupils by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, it was agreed that teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

Our assembly gave children the opportunity to think about who they could reach out to if they were experiencing bullying or having yucky feelings. We discussed what we could do to help someone and the meaning of bullying.

Throughout the week the children have been engaged in a variety of activities in class, learning songs, creating posters, acting out scenarios and spending some time reflecting on feelings.

We finished our week dressed in spots for Children In Need.
