Headteacher Friday Update 12th June 2020

Date: 12th Jun 2020 @ 12:38pm

It has been lovely to welcome some children back on site to Cartmel this week.  We have had some keyworker and Year 6 children in with our teams of staff on the ground.  We look forward to seeing some Year 1 and Reception children next week.  Other staff members have been working hard behind the scenes to generate home learning.  Mrs Yarrow and I have zoomed with Year 5 and a Class 2 Zoom is planned for next week.  We’ve also got a whole school worship planned via zoom for next week, so do watch out for the invite.  It will be an opportunity to bring together the home learning community of pupils, with those in school.

My very grateful thanks to all the staff for their tireless efforts through all of this situation.  They are working so hard on site to keep the children and each other safe and offsite with home learning activities.  I am sure you will join me in extending my thanks to them all.  The Governors have also been working closely with me at this time, to unpick the unending ream of documentation and guidance and work through communications and decision making.  I am sure you will appreciate the complexity of the situation and I am very grateful for your continued support and understanding of an ever-evolving situation.  We will continue to work closely with you all over the forthcoming weeks and months.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
