Headteacher's Friday Update 7th September 2018

Date: 7th Sep 2018 @ 9:59am

Due to a whole team effort, including staff and Governors, we were able to get school open on time following our summer building work.  The contractors were still on site on the Monday, so it was certainly 'up to the wire' to get everything in place!  My thanks to all concerned for their hard work on that day.

I do hope you all enjoyed your summer break.  It has been wonderful to watch our new Reception children settling into school life at Cartmel.  They all seem to be enjoying their new experiences with their friends.

Please do take a moment this weekend to download the School Spider App.  We will be phasing out the usual Friday newsletter and have ongoing news items and events information on our website and accessible via the app.

Next week, we will be trialling a 2:30pm Friday 'Celebration Assembly' again, in our school hall.  We will present certificates, from both inside and outside school, award team points and values stickers and share celebratory work.  We would love for parents to join us on that afternoon, if they are available to do so.  If your child has an achievement certificate or medal from hobbies outside school, please do bring it in for presentation.

With best wishes,

Mrs Battersby
