Community 'Craft'ernoons!

Lesson: Art and design

Our Community 'Craft'ernoons have been very popular with local members of our community visiting school to work alongside staff and pupils on a new or existing craft.  The idea behind them was to create an opportunity for people in our village and the surrounding areas to engage with our school and our continuing Artsmark journey.  It has been lovely to welcome a variety of different people into school and learn about some new crafts.  Mrs Battersby (Headteacher) ran a session on feltmaking, Mrs Batchelor (community member) a session on making textile keepsake boxes and Mrs Beston (Class 2 teacher) on weaving.  We plan to continue these monthly sessions, due to demand!
