Class 1 🐝 Homework Challenges 30.11.18

Date: 30th Nov 2018 @ 6:40am

We've had another busy week in class 1 and Christmas is now officially upon us! In these last few weeks children will get very excited so for homework please make sure children get lots of opportunities for rest and down time :)

Here are some other activities linked to our work in school that you might like to have a go at:

Christmas cards - children might like to write out some Christmas cards over the next few weeks for their friends. Each child should have gone home with a little list of their class 1 peers to help them write their cards. Please make sure that each envelope has the recipient's name and class.

Tricky teen numbers - when practising counting with your child the 'teen' and 'ty' numbers can be particularly tricky to distinguish between. We've been using some actions for 'teen' - hand on hip and 'ty' - bringing a cup of tea to mouth, to help them remember and notice the difference. Please take advantage of real-life opportunities to encourage counting. (next step - 2s,5s and 10s)

Our nativity song lyrics - the key lyrics we need to learn for the nativity are attached to help children sing along at home :)
