Creativity - Dorothy milner

Hello everyone,

What  a delight it is to read about all the exciting experiences that are happening to enhance the curriculum across the school. As a governor it is a privilege to talk to the children and see their work related to these occasions, to help understand the learning that is taking place. The  school website offers the chance to share the creativity that is developing the children's skills within the breadth of the curriculum.

Seeing first hand the passion and excitement following the recent sports afternoon, showed how the values curriculum is embedding across the school with resilience and working together supporting the team spirit.

It must have been amazing for the children to work with a chef making soup that I am sure was delicious. Watching 'The Snail and the Whale' and using that to stimulate writing and talking sounds exciting too and I can't wait to hear all about it.

i am going to take a walk along Ulverston canal to see the anchor that I saw being painted with such dedication and carefulness and can't wait to hear about more of the creative learning experiences to come.

Wonderful learning everyone.

Dorothy Milner  Chair of Governors.
